At the time I contacted Lice Happens, I already had some experience in the lice treatment field but was not planning on pursuing a career in it. That all changed when I met Nancy and MJ. As I learned more about their approach to providing head lice removal services, their honesty in dealing with clients, their work ethic as business owners, and their personalities, I knew I would be an excellent fit!

Having a passion for education, I appreciate the thorough training I’ve received and I’m proud to be a subject matter expert when it comes to head lice, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with our clients. I love helping families win what would otherwise be a losing battle against head lice. It truly feels rewarding to make a difference in the lives of the families I treat.

When I heard there was a company that treated head lice, I realized I might have the opportunity to help my community and rid the world of head lice, but I felt the usual anxiety associated with that hair-dwelling pest. Nancy Fields and M.J. Eckert, the co-founders of Lice Happens, put my mind at ease, and I discovered that many of the common beliefs about head lice are simply common myths. And what’s worse, many of the treatments that stem from these myths are simply ineffective.

I am happy to help families who have been battling the bug. I value education highly, and I hope to continue educating myself and the families I treat. I’m on a mission to rid the world of lice one head at a time!

I have a love/hate relationship with head lice… I love head lice because without them, there would be no Lice Happens and I wouldn’t have found the perfect job for myself.  I hate them because of the disruption they cause so many families who are affected.

I also hate that there is so much misinformation out there about treating head lice infestations, which often lead families to failure and frustration.  As a teacher, I also love that my responsibility as a Lice Specialist is to not only provide safe and effective treatment, but to also teach families about head lice and ways to prevent infestations in the future!

Working with Lice Happens brings me so much joy! There is nothing better than going into the home of a family who’s contracted head lice and helping them return to life as they knew it BEFORE lice.

I really enjoy educating the children and parents about head lice and how to get control of those little disruptive creatures! Empowering a parent through education and hands-on combing enables him/her to take charge of the situation and keep their children from future infestations. Doing the “happy dance” with the children afterwards is great fun!

When MJ Eckert, my college roommate, told me she was starting Lice Happens, I immediately knew this was a service I wanted to offer to the families in my area– Philadelphia and Southern NJ.
