Nancy Fields – Co-founder/ Lice Specialist

By the time my twin sister called me for help,  she and her children had already missed numerous days from work and school because of head lice. After using an over-the-counter pesticide according to label instructions, she was still finding lice and nits.  As a single mom, my sister was overwhelmed just trying to keep herself together, feeling like she’d never win the battle.

I suspected my sister’s experience was not unique and realized that parents have been left to tackle the time-consuming and frustrating task of head lice removal alone, while trying to navigate through a barrage of information and misinformation about head lice treatment.  Lice Happens™  was created to offer an alternative, and I’ve found it to be a fulfilling way for me to apply my process-oriented quality assurance background to a much needed service.

I’ve dealt with hundreds of families affected with head lice during my fifteen years as a nurse, especially during the last seven years as a school and camp nurse. I find it very rewarding to help families get their lives back to normal by providing hands-on treatment to eliminate the infestation, and straightforward, accurate information to help families avoid the cycle of re-infestation.  The feeling of satisfaction I have after helping a family through this experience, and giving them the tools and knowledge they need to tackle the problem, is what I love most about the work we do at Lice Happens™.

Jacqueline (Jacki) McCulley, Lice Specialist–Delaware

My past experience as a licensed cosmetologist and the skills I gained as a hairstylist are a natural fit for the  Lice Happens™ team.  I wanted to make a valuable contribution to my community, and when I discovered how great the need for head lice removal services was in Delaware, I contacted Lice Happens™.  I had read about their focus on education and empowerment,  and their dedication to the highest quality service using only eco-friendly products,  and was thrilled to find that they matched my personal philosophy.  I am looking forward to helping families and school communities in Delaware with professional, all-natural head lice treatment services for years to come!

When MJ Eckert, my college roommate, told me she was starting Lice Happens™, I immediately knew this was a service I wanted to offer to the families in my area– Philadelphia and Southern NJ.
